A Great Aquarium

We were taken to the Aquarium as part of a tour from the cruise ship. It was a lovely sunny day and there is plenty to see outside as well as inside. They have otters, seals and penguins (lovely!) and the keeper did a great talk about the otters in English.

In fact all the staff spoke very good English. There are some great views outside as well. Plenty for children to do both inside and outside so a good place to visit as a family. Inside there are various sized glass tanks and a viewing tunnel where you can see the fish etc. There is also a large open top tank where you can look over and watch the various sea life. Lots of interactive activities for both children and adults.

There is a great cafe too which had lovely cakes and food! Again the staff here spoke very good English. There is a shop with various souvenirs etc. Good clean toilets. The Aquarium is well worth a visit and we would like to go again one day.

This is a great aquarium and a must visit if you are in the area. There are a variety of exhibits and you’ll learn so much about the sea creatures of Norway and beyond! We loved watching various fish swim freely through the large tanks and listening to their knowledgeable staff give presentations on the animals (they spoke in both Norwegian and English, great for us foreign visitors!). Watching the diver hand-feed a whole bunch of fish is their large tank was very impressive.

Wirklich beeindruckend hier. Vielleicht etwas klein aber dafür sehr schön aufgearbeitet. Mein Highlight waren definitiv die Pinguine. Auch die Robben waren mit der Show während der Fütterung sehr cool mit anzusehen.
Wenn man hier ist sollte man es einmal miterlebt haben.

Atlanterhavsparken er et fantastisk flott akvarium hvor man virkelig kommer tett på livet i skjærgården. Her får både store og små en unik opplevelse av å møte fisk og dyr på nært hold.

For oss var det særlig oterne som gjorde størst inntrykk – de var både søte og lekne, og det var en glede å se dem boltre seg utendørs. Akvariene ellers er store, rene og velstelte, med mange spennende arter å utforske.

Et av høydepunktene var det store akvariet hvor man har mulighet til å komme i nærkontakt med fisk. Her fanget særlig skatefiskene vår oppmerksomhet – de var utrolig nysgjerrige og kom helt opp til overflaten for å hilse på.

Alt i alt gir Atlanterhavsparken en flott og lærerik opplevelse, og vi anbefaler et besøk på det varmeste.

Atlantic Sea-Park is an incredible experience! The aquariums are beautifully designed and give you a close-up view of Norway’s fascinating marine life. The outdoor areas are stunning, with seals, penguins, and otters in spacious natural settings. Everything feels well-organized, family-friendly, and educational — perfect for kids and adults alike. The staff are knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what they do. A must-visit if you’re anywhere near Ålesund!

Visited this place whilst on our cruise. Easy access via concrete paths with wheelchair wide doors. Everything here is easy for wheelchair users and buggies. Payment by cash or card. Welcome with a smile and helpful advice. Also good disabled parking at the front door. All floors are solid and easy gradients to navigate. There is so much information at this place to take in. The fish tanks were all clear and clean and very easy to see the fish etc. Outside there were the penguins and the otter tanks which were a delight to see. There was also a massive tank with seals in. Inside was a lovely cafe with a choice of very tasty cakes and sandwiches. It was spotless to and nice and airy. The toilets were very clean and access to the Disabled toilet was on the flat and very good access with big doors.

Wunderbares Aquarium!

Tolles Ausflugsziel mit Kindern. Das Aquarium ist hervorragend auf Kinder ausgerichtet – mit vielen Möglichkeiten zum Ausprobieren und Erleben. Am besten hat uns der Bereich gefallen, in dem man Meerestiere anfassen konnte. So etwas hatten wir noch nie zuvor erlebt – es war wirklich wundervoll.

Es gibt viel zu entdecken und zu erforschen. Man merkt, dass Wissen spielerisch vermittelt werden soll – durch zahlreiche interaktive Elemente und Stationen. Auch der Außenbereich hat unseren Kindern viel Spaß gemacht, besonders der Wasserspielplatz.

Die Toiletten waren sauber. Das Essen war gut, Kaffee gab es auch – was will man mehr?

Der Weg hin und zurück erschien uns zunächst etwas beschwerlich, aber es lohnt sich. Wir sind zuerst mit dem Bus der Linie 1 bis Osana gefahren und dann etwa einen Kilometer gelaufen – der Weg war schön, aber stellenweise anspruchsvoll. Zurück sind wir mit dem Taxi gefahren; diese standen direkt am Ausgang bereit. Hat alles problemlos geklappt.

Jedno z najlepszych tego typu muzeów jakie widziałem (a widziałem sporo). Ogromna wystawa, liczne akwaria i interaktywne wystawki z różnymi eksponatami. Co ciekawe, wszystkie poświęcone wyłącznie życiu wód Atlantyku. Każdy ma okazję nie tylko zobaczyć, ale również dotknąć różnych, żywych organizmów. Na zewnątrz znajdują się duże baseny dla fok, wydr i pingwinów. Trzeba tu spędzić minimum 2-3 godziny aby tylko pobieżnie wszystko poznać. Najchętniej posiedziałbym tu jednak ze 2-3 dni, bo ogrom informacji aż przytłacza. Polecam!
