  • A lovely spot to have a drink overlooking the beautiful mountains in the distance. We were very lucky to have a sunny day. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
  • We popped in when we were in town and needed a few things. Great selection of foods, etc… and well laid out. Easy to pay (but don’t forget to scan your receipt in order to get through the exit gates.

This summer we took a cruise to Norway. Starting from Southampton we went up along the west coast of Norway.

We had seven stops. Alesund wad one of those stops. In Alesund, we went to a small mall near the cruise terminal. Found a juice stand. Had some nice drinks made from fruits and vegetables.

It is a little city. Very beautiful and we were very fortunate to have a warm sunny day. I really enjoyed walking around and taking pictures of the beautiful buildings.

Apparently, the city was destroyed by a fire. Completely destroyed around early 1900s. It was then rebuilt over the next several years by the king of Germany in the Art-deco style. The king loved the city and he came often. So, it was a gift from the king.

The buildings from 100 years ago are truly work of art.
