Great location as it’s over the bridge from the town ( meaning you can park your car there and walk over) the owner (Mikal) is one of a kind, generous, friendly, knowledgeable and an all round great human being. The breakfast is good the dining/lounge area is inviting. If you dining in town, who knows you may get a lift over in Mikal’s boat!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet hôtel tout récemment ouvert. La chambre était très confortable, le lounge très agréable et design, et la vue sur les îles Lofoten magnifique. Le personnel a été très accueillant et chaleureux. Le petit-déjeuner était savoureux, varié et soigné. Nous avons aussi eu la chance de profiter d’un dîner de qualité improvisé, parfait pour reposer nos jambes après une journée à vélo. On serait bien restés un peu plus longtemps. Merci encore !

Had a great stay at Skata! Perfect location to explore Henningsvær and the surrounding. Parking is right outside. The staff were super friendly, the lobby was cozy, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight – the bread was incredibly tasty!

Great location – the city is amazing and you can park right at the hotel. Breakfast was delicious, especially the fresh bread! There were also scrambled eggs, croissants, fruit, and various spreads like jam. The restaurant was super cozy and the staff was really friendly and laid-back and the rooms were clean. Would definitely come back for my next visit in Henningsvær.

Beautiful place just a few walking minutes away from Henningsvær. Nice window views from the rooms (either towards the mountains+ocean or towards the bridge+ocean) and very cozy lounge area with plenty of comfy seats with access to the dock. Breakfast was good, especially the bread — and the staff was very friendly. All in all a relaxed place if you wanna explore the area but don’t want to stay in busy Henningsvær.

We were not able to stay, but we did have the privilege to stop for food and drinks. The staff is amazing, they are so welcoming and make you feel like you are at a friend's house. Kim went above and beyond by serving us even after all places had closed down their kitchen. The food was delicious and the cocktails were delicious and very impressive. He made our first day at Henningsvær a great experience.

The day after we met Anaís (sorry if I butchered the name), she was so sweet and kind, she made us some delicious cappuccino's with cocoa on top which was perfect to kickoff our day.

I wish I had booked my entire stay at Skata, if the service and people are exceptional, I can only imagine the stay.

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Skata during our trip to Henningsvær. The experience was truly memorable, thanks to the exceptional service provided by Kim and Anaïs. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of, with thoughtful recommendations, genuine kindness, and a great sense of hospitality. If my husband and I ever go to Henningsvær again, we will definitely stay at Skata. Our time there was awesome—we won’t forget it!

A brilliant new hotel, and my favourite stay during my trip through the Lofoten Islands. The staff is very personable and accommodating, and the bartender/mixologist crafts cocktails that are unique yet stays true to the local cuisine and flavours. Walking to Henningsvær involves a 10 minute walk crossing two picturesque bridges.
