This small family run hotel exceeded my expectations. Upon arrival I was a little concerned, since the hotel doesn't have great curb appeal. The lobby is a bit dates and when lead to our room (in the hallway between the kitchen and dining room) I was worried. But in the end the 2 room little suite, was perfect. It had amazing views and was extremely quiet. ||The location of this hotel is what makes it special. It is in a quiet, uncrowded location. And it has great views. We would sit either inside or out in the garden every evening and just relax to the perfet fjord views.||The family that runs this hotel is super helpful and friendly. You can really tell they work hard to make each stay perfect. The decor is not most up to date or stylish. I am very picky when it comes to hotel rooms, and I loved this hotel.

I spent a week at Dragsvik Fjordhotell and it felt like a home away from home. It’s a family-owned hotel with such a cozy, welcoming atmosphere and almost 360° views of the fjords.

The bus stops directly in front of the hotel, which makes getting there super convenient, despite the remote location.

The food was delicious (especially dinner!), the staff were kind and attentive, and the service was personal in the best way. There are also a few quiet, tucked-away spots outdoors where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the stillness of nature.

If you’re looking for a peaceful, cozy place to recharge while soaking in breathtaking views and stillness, this is the place to be. 10/10 would recommend.

Very cute, family-run hotel. Our room was clean and had a fantastic view of the fjord. The grounds were beautiful, and there were several secluded places outdoors to relax and enjoy nature. The food was delicious for both breakfast and dinner. We also enjoyed being able to get drinks and snacks in the afternoon in the common area. The hotel is just a short drive to Balestrand. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel is in a fantastic location with a wonderful view of the fjord. The problem is that the walls are paper thin. We were kept up all night by our neighbor who must have had the flu since he was coughing up a storm all night. Because of that I would try to reserve a cabin so that you have some privacy and some relaxing space. They have a few public spaces that you can relax and have a tea or wine and read or enjoy the view. The problem was they were all locked when we tried to use them. When we asked they told us we could only use them if we purchased beverages from the hotel which we were happy to do.|The included breakfast was excellent! Lots of cheese, fresh jams, yogurts and granola and eggs made to order. We ate 2 dinners there as well which were delicious. I chose the fresh fish each meal.

Great hotel, a short drive from Balestrand. Very pleasant territory, lots of blueberries around and magnificent fjord views. The hotel is a group of old wooden buildings, a nice and quiet setting. Good dinners and pleasant breakfasts (they bake nice fresh croissants). Lots of great hikes around. Recommend the first mile of Keipen - easy and splendid views.

A fabulous stay! I am a solo traveler and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. The hotel is pristine. The breakfast is divine. The dinners are fresh and fantastic! The location is gorgeous, private, relaxing. I was very sad to leave.

Greetings,||We recently spent two nights at Dragsvik Fjordhotel last may and what a gem it is.||This is a small family-run hotel located in a beautiful setting nested in one of the branches of the sognefjord.||We had a very nice room with awesome fjord views. The room had a separate bedroom and one nice 'living room' with a kitchen area. There was no TV in the room but Wifi was working fine.||The room itself was clean and spotless, the bed comfy. Given the location, the sleep quality is total. (no outside noise, no neighbour noise).||The staff is very friendly and helpful.||The breakfast buffet was very good and so was the evening dinner that we took at the hotel both nights. Be aware, this is quite a remote area, there are no other options for restaurants unless you drive to Balestrand town (15 - 20 minutes by car).||The hotel is walking distance from the ferry terminal, but you really need a car to explore the area. ||Book with confidence, this was one of the highlights of our recent trip to Norway. The region is absolutely gorgeous and you have many options for road trips, hiking trails, etc...||TIP : Try the 613 mountain road if you can , some beautiful and spectacular view points along the road - but be aware this is a winding and narrow mountain road with hair-pin turns, etc.. sometimes you have a back out to let a larger vehicle (RV's) go thru the opposite way.||Enjoy.|/Montrealer2

Unbeatable fjord views, incredible food, and service that makes you feel at home.

Dragsvik Fjord Hotel is absolute perfection. We stayed Aug 6–8 in two rooms — a Standard Double (210) and a Comfort Double (105). Both were spotless and comfortable, but 105 was truly special with floor-to-ceiling fjord and mountain views that felt like a living postcard. The fresh fjord air kept the rooms perfectly cool without A/C, and the beds were very comfortable.

The setting is peaceful and remote, about 15 minutes from Balestrand, with shuttle service available. We arrived via the FlĂ„m–Balestrand ferry, which was scenic and worth the trip.

The food here is phenomenal. Breakfast is fresh and hearty, but dinner is the star — a small daily-changing menu cooked to perfection, even the bread is made on site. Skip dinner in Balestrand and eat here instead.

The staff are just as memorable as the views. Special thanks to Magnar for keeping in touch when our ferry plans changed and for the early-morning coffee and sandwiches on our departure day.

We left already planning our return. Peace, views, and the best meals we had in Norway — Dragsvik is the full package.
